MRS. GREENWOOD LEFLORE IS DEAD
Grand Old Lady Dies at Her Home at Malmaison Tuesday
It was, indeed, sad news to hear of the death of Mrs. Greenwood Leflore, which took place Tuesday.
Mrs. Leflore was the wife of the famous chieftain, Greenwood Leflore, for whom the city of Greenwood and the county of Leflore was named. She is also the grandmother of Mr. Harris L. Ray and Mrs. Andrew Montgomery, who reside in Greenwood, her own daughter being the wife of Hon. W. L. Ray, of Malmaison.
Quite a number of the friends and relatives of the deceased attended the impressive funeral services that were held at Malmaison at 3:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
A sketch of this grand old lady will appear in our next issue.
The Commonwealth joins in with the many others in extending sincere condolences to the bereaved ones in their sad loss.
