DIRECTORS CLOSE LEASE ON HOME OF MATT STEELE
ON FULTON STREET

The scope of the work of the Y.M.C.A. in Greenwood will be widened beginning Monday, when the association will occupy its new home at the corner of Fulton and Washington streets.

The Board of Directors yesterday secured a lease on the Matt Steele home for a term of three years, and are fitting up the building for regular YMCA work as far as can be done in the home and on the grounds.

Reading and game rooms will be fitted up for use by the young men of the city, and a limited number of rooms will be available for dormitory purpose.

Shower baths, a kitchen and room for indoor sports will be provided.

A basketball court, volleyball and tennis court will be provided on the lawn, which will be lighted so that the courts will be available for use at night.

Gym classes will be conducted either in the house or on the lawn.

The directors unanimously decided to undertake the great forward step which marks the advent of the YMCA into its full scope of usefulness to the community, and the officers are confident that the public will approve and support the movement.

Y.M.C.A. Moves To Hamilton Bldg. On Howard Street

After occupying the building on the corner of Washington and Fulton Streets for the past three years as a home, the Y.M.C.A. is today moving its office to the second floor of the Hamilton Building on Howard Street.

This move will in no way interfere with the program the Association is putting on for the boys of our city and county as all activities can and will be directed from the office under the leadership of secretary Richter.
